New Magic Australia Launches Hauppauge Digital TV Tuner for Microsoft® Windows® Media Centre Edition 2005

New Magic Australia and Hauppauge Digital, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAUP), a leading developer and manufacturer of digital video TV and data broadcast receiver products for personal computers, today launched the "Nova-T/MCE" a PCI Digital TV receiver for Microsoft Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2005.
With PCs running Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2005, consumers get a version of Windows for the home that offers the full capabilities of a Windows XP PC with exciting new experiences for music, digital photography, movies, and television.

Hauppauge-PVR-NOVA-T/MCE for use on Microsoft® Windows® XP Media Centre Edition 2005
The Hauppauge-NOVA-T/MCE is a digital TV receiver for use in areas around the world where DVB-T is the format used for transmitting digital television. In areas where DVB-T is transmitted and supported by Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2005, the Hauppauge-NOVA-T/MCE will be able to receive over-the-air digital transmissions and offer similar capabilities as the analog Hauppauge-PVR products for Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2005.
After a successful launch in October the Hauppauge-PVR-150/250MCE is a PCI board which has a single TV tuner plus FM radio receiver to allow the watching and recording of one analogue TV channel at a time. Up to two Hauppauge-PVR-150/250MCE's can be installed in a Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2005 system at a time, bringing the ability to watch one channel while recording another channel. In addition, the Hauppauge-PVR-150/250MCE has audio/video inputs to connect to set top boxes such as satellite receivers and cable TV boxes.
Availability
Hauppauge-NOVA-T/MCE product with Windows Media Center Edition 2005 drivers will ship from late November 2004. A Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Lab (WHQL)-certified drivers for the Hauppauge-PVR150/250 is immediately available directly from Hauppauge/New Magic Australia.
The Hauppauge-NOVA-T/MCE and Hauppauge-PVR-150/250MCE are available to systems integrators and VARs building Media Center PCs through Ingram Micro, TechPacific and directly from the Australian and New Zealand master distributor New Magic Australia Pty Ltd.
