Flash XDR

Ruggedized HD-SD Portable Recorder / Player

Unlock the Quality Potential of your Camera.
Enjoy the Benefits of Tapeless Workflow.

Upgrade your existing camera to master quality video while advancing to tapeless workflow in one low cost unit that is transferable from camera to camera. Unlike Firewire drives, which provide no image quality improvement, Flash XDR captures the never-compressed HD-SDI output using a world-class 4:2:2 full-raster (1920x1080i/p) MPEG2 CODEC, at bit-rates up to 100 Mbps (4XHDV), or I-Frame Only bit-rates up to 160Mbps.

Flash XDR virtually eliminates motion-artifacts, mosquito-noise and keying problems. Master Quality 100 Mbps Long-GOP recordings are, in our tests, visually indistinguishable from uncompressed. Superb 24-bit uncompressed audio, with user selectable embedded or external mic/line inputs, complements the stunning video.

The solid state, low-power, fanless design utilizes affordable CompactFlash media to provide 2.4 hours recording time at 100 Mbps using four low cost 32 GB cards! Industry standard Quicktime and MXF file formats ensure easy transfer to leading NLE programs with all the benefits of a tapeless workflow, including instant review, fast downloads and metadata support. Redundant recording, 24p pull-down removal, time-lapse recording, and a pre-record buffer are scheduled to be added to this exciting unit via free firmware updates later this year. name=btn_linkArrow_top6
