Media Release: Treasure & Dirt Shot with URSA Cine 17K 65

Edward Goldner ACS, cinematographer for the psychological crime thriller ‘Treasure & Dirt’ talks about bringing this six-part TV series to life using 65mm cinematography. Set in a dying opal town in the Outback, this is Australia’s very own ‘Twin Peaks’ full of strange folk and even stranger places.

 

“I wanted the show’s imagery to be classic, shot in a way that would feel epic but also uncomplicated in a sense. We would often try to hold action in wider frames with minimal edits to create a bit of a theater quality. This also fed into the show’s stark, deadpan tone. The URSA Cine 17K 65 really complemented this, allowing the experience to be simultaneously restrained yet connected”.
