Regarding WinTV7 Software:
Note: This version will upgrade from CD 1.2 or above, allowing you to keep your current Channel List, schedules and favourites. Simply run setup and install over the top, you do not need to run hcwclear. If you have an older version of WinTV installed then you should follow the normal installation instructions.
Note: A valid WinTV Retail CDROM (Not MCE Kit) will be needed to install this updated version (WinTV 2000, WinTV v6 or WinTV 7 versions are all valid).
Note: Does not include H.264/HE-AAC/AC3 decoders. Multi language Support (Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Spanish & Swedish).
If using Hauppauge WinTV7 software you will be required to install the AC3 decoder which can be found on the Original Hauppauge install CD inside the SMD folder (hcwSMD08.exe).
** Windows XP MCE 2005 SP3 Update only has a potential issue with the NOVAT500 if you have a USB remote controller. To fix follow the below instructions:
1) Update to Service Pack 3
2) After SP3 is installed restart the machine. Make sure the USB remote's receiver is unplugged.
3) Shutdown the machine.
4) Plug the USB remote's receiver.
5) Restart the machine and let it Plug and Play the USB remote's receiver.
Vista Notes:
- Tests were performed using the Vista RTM Build 6000.
- A tick indicates this function is fully working.
- If you wish to use the Analogue/AV tuner in the HVR1100/1110 series you will need to install the SoftEncoder software found on your original product install CD.
